🔍 Spotlight: Interactive Value Chain Map​

During Sprint 4, we built on the Interactive Value Chain Map first introduced in Sprint 3. What began as a tool to support a Table-Top Exercise for tracing materials back to their source has now expanded into four interactive exercises — helping users better understand how Digital Product Passports (DPPs) and Digital Traceability Events (DTEs) work in practice.

🧭 What's Now Possible?​

Users can now:

• ✅ Issue DPPs and DTEs
• 🔗 Share DPPs via URI or QR code
• 👁️ View existing DPPs and DTEs
• 🧵 Trace upstream supply chains from OEM to raw materials, viewing attached verifiable credentials

🧪 Try It Yourself: Hands-On Exercises​

➤ Trace a Product’s Origins (OEM to Miner)​

Follow a sample product passport through each tier of the supply chain — from the OEM all the way back to the mine, using live data from the Reference Implementation.

➤ Share a Digital Product Passport​

Learn how to share a DPP using a resolvable URI or QR code — digitally or even on paper.

➤ Issue a DPP or DTE​

Create and register your own Digital Product Passport or Traceability Event.

➤ View an Updated DPP​

Simulate a downstream transformation event and explore how DPPs are updated across the lifecycle.
