Tracing Exercise - Tracing Source Materials from OEM Product Passport to Mine​

Steps​

  1. Visit the Interactive VC Map - https://www.rbtp.pyx.io/interactive-vc-map

  2. OEM Product - Select Digital Electronic Goods Passport (DeGP) tracing_exercise_img_2

  3. Scroll Down to the History section. In the row labeled Association Event, click View on the far right. tracing_exercise_img_3

    1. You are now viewing the Association Event where the battery was added to an assembled product (DTE): tracing_exercise_img_4
  4. The Association (Manufacturing) Event shows upstream (Battery) and downstream (Assembled OEM Product)

    1. To hop from the OEM Association Event to the suppliers DPP (Battery Digital Product Passport, select View from the Child List: tracing_exercise_img_5
    2. You are now viewing the supplier’s upstream DPP for the battery that was used in the OEM Assembly. tracing_exercise_img_6
  5. To view the DTE (Transformation Event) that added the spun Copper Cathode to the Battery Assembly, you’ll follow the same steps as before. Scroll down to History and select View in the row for the Transformation Event tracing_exercise_img_7

    1. To view the DPP of the Copper Cathode, like before you will select View from the row labeled Input tracing_exercise_img_8
  6. You are now viewing the Digital Product Passport for the Copper Cathode tracing_exercise_img_9 tracing_exercise_img_10

  7. To continue to the miner, repeat the above steps.

    1. Scroll down to the History Section and select View in the row labeled Transformation Event
    2. On the newly opened DTE page (smeltering), in the Input section, select View in the row labeled Copper Concentrate
    3. You are now viewing the DPP from the Miner.
